Who pays for the Orinda Parade?

The Orinda Association funds and runs the parade with private support. We don’t get city money. Each year the OA raises the funds and organizes volunteers to put on the event. It’s paid for by donations from residents, businesses, and community supporters.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

  • Planning and production costs (permits, safety, decorations, parade acts, insurance, traffic control, promotional materials) require reliable funding well before the event date.

  • Your gift ensures a safe, well-organized parade that reflects the spirit of Orinda and provides an inclusive celebration for all ages.

Suggested giving levels

  • Community Supporter — $50: helps purchase decorations, handouts and supplies

  • Parade Partner — $150: supports signage, banners, and basic production costs

  • Sponsor — $500: funds stage/sound equipment and volunteer coordination

  • Presenting Sponsor — $2,500+: underwrites major logistics and public safety needs

  • Drop off a donation at our office 26 Orinda Way, Suite AA across from the Library elevator on the plaza level.

Recognition

  • Donors will be acknowledged in event programs and on-site signage at levels corresponding to contribution size

  • Major sponsors may receive additional recognition during the parade and in community communications
