Volunteer Opportunities at Chabot Space & Science Center

Volunteer Opportunities at Chabot Space & Science Center
RSVP and Register for Orientation: Saturday, February 21, 2015, 10:00am – 2:00pm

Chabot Space & Science Center volunteers make earth and space science come alive for visitors through interactive and hands-on experiences. Extend your sense of wonder and increase your knowledge through our dynamic volunteer program.

You don't have to be a scientist or a physicist; we’ll teach you!

  • Learn to operate our historic telescopes
  • Enjoy unique conversations with visitors on the exhibit floor
  • Educate and inspire over 50,000 school children that visit each year
  • Assist with special events and share Chabot with the community through outreach
  • Shifts available Wednesday through Sunday daytime and Friday and Saturday evenings

If you love to learn and you care about the way we inspire tomorrow's scientists today, consider becoming a Chabot Science & Science Center volunteer.

We ask our volunteers to work 8 hours per month and for at least one year. For more information on our volunteer program and to RSVP for orientation, visit or contact the Volunteer Department at or 510-336-7304.
